of their recently incorporated companies, the
Yee Tsoong Tobacco "ompany, Limited, and the Yee
Tsoong Tobacco Distributors, Limiter

January last regarding the attitude of the Priti abi
Chamber of Commerce towards the proposal for an
amendment of the Hongkong Companies Ordinance.
will be remembered that the Chamber at first refuzed
to support the request.

2. I understand that this decision was reached
in the absence of the british ¿merican Tobacco Company's
represen te tive and without any very careful investig-
ation into the question.
At all events they have now
changed their minds and I enclose herewith a copy of
a letter from the Joint Comed ttee of the British
Chester of Commerce end Chins /Bocletion supporting
